T20 WORLD CUP: SUPER 12
As the defending champion, West Indies was placed in Group 1 of the Super 12, along with England, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia, and South Africa.
And in Group 2, India was placed along New Zealand, Afghanistan, Namibia, and Pakistan.
From Group 1, England & Australia made it to the Qualifiers. And New Zealand & Pakistan did from Group 2.
T20 WORLD CUP: QUALIFIERS
The matches for the T20 World Cup 2021 were scheduled across three venues in the UAE, i.e., Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. In the tournament, we had some strongest teams that competed in the semi-finals, i.e., England, New Zealand, Pakistan and Australia.
They had one hell of a fight. And with full energy and enthusiasm, Australia & New Zealand reached the finals. New Zealand gave a tough competition to Australia, but it was ultimately Australia who took home the trophy.
INDIA IN T20 WORLD CUP
Team India did not have a good start from the first match. They were defeated by Pakistan by 10 wickets and then New Zealand by 8 wickets.
The team earned their first points after winning against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi. India was not able to make it to the Qualifiers and was eliminated at an early stage.
